Courtroom Experience & Tenacity Proven in the Courtroom, Focused on Your Case

I’m John Beggs, a lawyer, CPA, and U.S. Army veteran with nearly five decades of trial experience. I began my career as a JAG officer, where I prosecuted and defended over 100 courts-martial. Since 2006, I’ve built my Columbus-based practice on that same trial-tested foundation, representing clients in unemployment compensation appeals, and high-stakes civil litigation. Whether it’s getting the unemployment compensation benefits you deserve or defending your business, I bring seasoned judgment and relentless advocacy to every case.

Experience That Matters

With more than 45 years of trial and litigation experience, I’ve built a reputation for protecting the rights of employees — especially those denied unemployment benefits. My practice now focuses on employment compensation denials, where preparation and strategy make the difference.

I also serve as outside counsel to businesses ranging from startups to major companies with hundreds of employees and $100 of millions in revenue.
